Michelle McGregor

Michelle McGregor has physiotherapy and physical therapy (USA) qualifications and is an experienced Pilates instructor.

Pilates training and experience

Michelle trained as a Pilates instructor in 1998 with Brent Anderson of Polestar Pilates in Bahia, Brazil. She has taught Pilates in the United States and New Zealand, drawing particularly on her interests in functional biomechanics and rehabilitation.

Michelle has a wide range of Pilates work experience so can help clients with a variety of needs. She works with clients wanting to rehabilitate from injuries or improve general fitness and well-being. She also has experience helping athletes or artists (such as dancers and musicians) enhance their performance.

Michelle's Pilates programmes can include:
  • general Pilates training and conditioning
  • Pilates-based rehabilitation (eg for back, joint, or neurological conditions)
  • musculoskeletal re-education (teaching you to use your body more effectively)
  • activity-based biomechanical training (exercises that help you perform activities or functions more easily).

Pilates Training & Experience

Michelle studied physiotherapy in Dunedin (New Zealand) and has worked as a physiotherapist in New Zealand and the United States of America (USA). Whilst in the USA, Michelle passed the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE), so she is also a licensed USA physical therapist.

Michelle has worked in all areas of physiotherapy, including neuro-rehabilitation, hospital inpatients, and sports medicine.
Thank you so much for all the advice and knowledge you have passed on. I have learnt so much. You always know exactly what I need and when things are really aligned or not."
