Pilates classes, packages, and gifts


We teach Pilates equipment classes in Richmond, Nelson to help you meet your health, performance, or fitness goals. We also offer Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR) sessions, multi-class/session packages, and gift certificates too. Book a class, package, or MFR session today!

Purchase your packages before you attend your first class or MFR session. Packages are valid for 6 weeks from the date you attended the first class in the package.

CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS

CLASSES:  Regular apparatus classes are available.
PLEASE DO NOT COME IN IF YOU ARE SICK.  We typically have a 24 hour cancellation policy for appointments, but we will not charge you for a cancellation because you are ill with suspected COVID-19, cold or flu.  PLEASE let us know via a phone call or email prior to your appointment (preferably as far in advance as you can). We do not want to take any chances that you just have a "little cold" and still want to come in. The coronavirus symptoms are sometimes just a mild fever and cold symptoms for a couple of days...it may feel like any other mild cold/flu, but we just don't know and don't want to risk that it's more than that.  Symptoms of CV could also be so severe that hospitalization could result from respiratory distress.  Please think of those around you when you are "one the fence" about coming in to the studio.  Please err on the conservative side, especially if you've recently had any symptoms resembling those of the coronavirus.

REMOTE/ONLINE APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE:  Did you know that we have the ability to do online sessions at Hearts and Bones?  You can take advantage of seeing us remotely and we can guide you in your movement programs.  It is the same pricing as normal for privates and duo classes, the only difference is that we will guide you from either your computer, smart phone, or tablet using the Zoom platform.
What you need:
High-speed internet access
A desktop, laptop, iPad or mobile phone
An adjustable way to secure your device if it isn't a desktop computer such as a tripod with mobile phone attachment.
Enough space to move.
Whatever equipment you have - spiky balls, soft stability ball, foam roller etc.
A pillow, and hand towel.

Equipment classes

All movement classes and myofascial release therapy sessions are by appointment only.

Private class and online

Duration: 1 hour.
Cost: $75 for an initial consultation or one-off class. $280 for a 4-class package.
About: ​Use our specialised Pilates equipment to improve your posture, strength, and flexibility. We can also help you to rehabilitate from an injury or improve your sporting performance. These are private, one-on-one classes.

Duo class and online

Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Cost: $160 for 4-class package.
About: Duo sessions mean you share a private class with one other person. You will still have the benefits of a private session but be able to share the cost with someone else. If we only have one person booked into a duo session, the session duration will reduce to 45 minutes.

Springboard class

Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Cost: $35 for 1 class or $120 for a 4-class package.

Class size: 3 participants.
​About: Springboard class is a mat-based Pilates workout. It uses springs and levers attached to a  wall-mounted 'springboard'. This class fuses Pilates mat with Pilates equipment training.

Why try a Springboard class

Adding a Springboard class each week will help you improve faster. The springs are the business! They are what makes Pilates such and effective exercise modality.  The springs:
  • provide support
  • create resistance to help improve your strength, flexibility, and range of motion
  • enable you to work each side of the body separately to help create better muscles balance — critical for athletic performance and injury prevention.
We also add many different pieces of small Pilates equipment, such as foam rollers, Swiss balls, Step Barrels and Balance Tables.  The Springboards also allow for more supported standing work. This will help improve your balance.

Mix it up — private or duo classes + Springboard

Springboard classes are less expensive than our other class options so are a great addition to your private or duo classes. With a small group, you get more personal attention. These classes also build a sense of community. Moving with like-minded people makes it exciting and invigorating. If only 2 people are booked, the class will reduce to 45 minutes.
Cost: $380 for 4 private classes + 4 Springboard classes. $260 for 4 duo classes + 4 Springboard classes.

Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR)

Availability: Wednesdays and Fridays only
Duration:  1 hour
Cost: $60 for one or $220 for 4-session package.
​About: Connective tissues called fascia surrounds muscles and envelop the entire body. Fascia also play a key role in regulating the immune system. But inflammation, fibrosis, and fascial thickening can limit your range of motion and cause pain. Myofascial release is a safe, effective hands-on technique. It involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue. It is a beneficial addition to the movement work we do at Hearts and Bones Pilates. You’ll know you’ve created positive change if you feel:
  • reduced pain
  • increased ease of motion
  • greater range of motion
  • less inflammation.
