About Spring Movement equipment

Spring Movement exercise equipment is perfect for Pilates and other movement methods. Our equipment has been developed by mechanical engineer Frank Spitzmesser in consultation with movement specialist, Tania Huddart. 

Ideal for your exercise studio

Spring Movement equipment is ideal for a Pilates studio, but can also be used in other exercise and movement methods. Our equipment is designed to:
  • enhance proprioception, body awareness, and vertical alignment
  • rebalance and integrate body structures to improve strength and movement.

Construction

We use plywood, wood, and dowels made from pine for our standard range of equipment. All our wood equipment is coated with polyurethane for hygiene and durability. ​We use a heavy-duty industrial Velcro, which will survive in the wet and in the sun for many years. 

Vinyl and upholstery colour

We use heavy duty, premium quality vinyl, with the following features:
  • office-commercial/healthcare/hospitality/education grade
  • soil-resistant, antimicrobial finish, with UV stabilisers (antimicrobial properties inhibit the growth of mould, mildew or bacteria) 
  • composition: 84% PVC, 10.4% polyester, 5.6% rayon.

​Our standard vinyl colour is black. If you require another colour, please contact Frank.

About Frank Spitzmesser – engineer and craftsman

Frank Spitzmesser is a highly qualified, European mechanical engineer and craftsman. He is closely involved in the design of Spring Movement equipment and regularly consults with fitness professionals.

Frank has a passion for creating strong, durable, and visually pleasing products. He is dedicated to making each piece of Spring Movement equipment as perfect as possible.

Frank has lived and worked in New Zealand since 2008. He loves all that New Zealand has to offer.
